My hotel was close to the famous "Birds nest", chinas national stadium, in the Olympic park from 2008 in Beijing.
It has been designed by the same architect who designed the "allianz arena" in munich. It looks awesome, especially in the night when it is illuminated from the inside.
While I was in Beijing it was always quite foggy. I have never figured out wether this was only due to the smog from industry and cars or also due to the weather.
